Concert by Urban brass orchestra Škofja Loka on June 2, 2012 in Škofja Loka

Urban brass orchestra Škofja Loka played two Adamič compositions – Tra ta ta and Polka gavota.

International chanson evening “La Vie en Rose” on June 4, 2012 in Ljubljana

Vita Mavrič dedicated this year’s evening to maestro Bojan Adamič at his 100 anniversary.
Seventeen of his songs have been sung in an updated versions by young musicians.

Annual choirs concert by Primary school Šmartno pod Šmarno goro on June 4, 2012

Annual concert took place at school and was dedicated to Adamič 100 anniversary. Children, youth and teachers choirs sung many of Adamič songs, such as Če zapojemo veselo, Tra ta ta, Medvedki in medvedki, Žogica Nogica in Ko boš prišla na Bled. The conductor was Marta Sojar Voglar, the program was very interesting and very well performed.

On the 17th competition of brass orchestras, many Adamič compositions were performed by orchestras such as Godba Zgornje Savinjske doline, Pihalni orkester Koper, Pihalni orkester Ormož – Glasbena šola Ormož, Rudarska godba Hrastnik. Many of them won golden or silver plaques.

Both orchestras dedicated the concert, which took place at summer theater of Ribnica castle, to Adamič 100 anniversary.

43. Slovene choirs camp in Šentvid near Stična on June 17, 2012

This year’s camp in Šentvid was organized under the title All the most beautiful small flowers and was conducted by Mr. Igor Švara. 24 men, 29 women and 41 mixed choirs sang together with 9 Slovenian choirs from abroad, Brass orchestra KUD Stična was playing.
The camp president Mr. Jernej Lampret opened the camp and the festive speaker was Mr. Valentin Inzko. Camp was organized by Mr. Stane Peček, and broadcasted by Slovenian television. All the choirs dedicated one song, Adamič Če zapojemo veselo, to his anniversary, therefore Adamic daughter was also invited.

Bojan Adamič has written special song already for the 14th Camp on June 19, 1983, the title of which was Splet revolucionarnih pesmi Jugoslavije. At that time 236 choirs with almost 8.000 singers were there! That camp was conducted by Adamic himself with the help of Mr. Stane Peček. Musical portrait of Albert (Ali) Dermelj on June 17, 2012 at Radio Slovenia

In this Musical portrait on the 3rd Radio channel ARS, the cooperation between Dermelj and Adamič was presented.
In 2012 we celebrate 100th anniversary of Dermelj and of Adamič. They both worked together in orchestra and at film music (Vesna, for example), Dermelj being one of the best violin players at that time in Slovenia.

The broadcast about life and work of violin player and concertmaster Ali Dermelj incorporated also information on his cooperation with Bojan Adamič.

Concert of Brass orchestras within “Adamič spring” project on June 25, 2012

There have been two concerts, in Kostanjevica and Ptuj.

Festive concert by Brass orchestra Šentjur on Slovenia Statehood day on June 25, 2012 in Šentjur

On our Statehood Day, the Brass orchestra played at festive concert Music memories also two Adamič music arrangements: Spomin (V.S.Avsenik/arr. Bojan Adamič/prir. Vladimir Mustajbašić ) and Melodije bratov Avsenik (V.S.Avsenik/prir. Bojan Adamič).

On our Statehood Day Urban brass orchestra Škofja Loka played at festive concert two Adamič compositions – Polka gavota in Tratata.

Magazine Kinotečnik published in June 2012

On June 22, 2012, Kinotečnik, monthly magazine of Slovene cinematheque was published. A huge part is being dedicated to Bojan Adamič work and music. It also includes monthly retrospective Adamič film music, starting August 10, 2012 in Divača.

Project information has been announced

  • The chanson concert La vie en Rose was announced in newspaper DELO on June 1, 2012, in June publication of Ljubljanske novice and in Nedeljski Dnevnik on June 3, 2012. Invitations to the concert were on the roadside posters.

  • There was an interview with Vita Mavrič in newspaper Dnevnik on June 2, 2012 and on TV 24 ur.

  • After the concert two broader positive critics were posted in newspaper DELO on June 6, 2012 and in journal 7dni.

  • Photos were in magazine Jana on June 12, 2012, where Vita Mavrič is with the director of Cankarjev dom Mitja Rotovnik. She has a special bottle of wine Godbeni zvoki in her hands, which she received from Adamič family. After the concert she enjoyed time with Adamič daughter Alenka Adamič. This was also the first evening concert for Nia La Makuc Peljhan, six year old grand granddaughter of Bojan Adamič.

  • On June 13, 2012, magazine Lady published an interesting outline of Adamič life and work in the article Maestro for songs and fast cars. Many family photos were included. A reportage from the reception after La Vie en Rose concert was also published in the same issue.

  • Newspaper DELO reported on June 18, 2012 about the 43. Slovene choirs camp in Stična and there was a reportage on TV channel TV Vaš kanal Novo mesto.

  • In newspaper Dnevnik on June 23, 2012, Jaka Batič alias D. J. Bakto mentioned Adamič role in the transmission of Slovene popular songs to beat music within the article Slovenska popevka, vložena v formaldehid.

There were two additions to the project

  • New links to music recordings.

  • Information about activities at music lessons in Primary schools Slivnica near Celje, Sv. Jurij near Ščavnica, Jelšane, Bizeljsko, Blanca and Mokronog.
