Presentation of the new book “Kompozitori Bojan Adamiç në Shqipëri” in the media

On February 8, 2024, a solemn event took place in the lobby of the Theatre Opera and Ballet in Tirana, Albania. There was the presentation of the book Kompozitori Bojan Adamiç në Shqipëri (Composer Bojan Adamiç in Albania), which was published in the Albanian language.

The book was written by prof. dr. Vasil Tole, vice-president of the Albanian Academy of Sciences and Dr. Darja Koter, full professor at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, in close cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Tirana, the National Center for Books and Reading in Tirana and the Adamič family. It was a continuation of the material obtained for the international symposium on the work of Bojan Adamič in Albania, which took place on May 4, 2022 at the Academy of Science in Tirana.

The launch of the book has been announced:

• In Slovenia, on our website entitled Promotion of the book “Kompozitor Bojan Adamic in Albania” on February 8, 2024 in Tirana, Albania.

• In Albania on the website of Radio Tirana Internacional in an article: “Bojan Adamič in Albania” book promotion at the Opera House.

• On the website of the Albanian online newspaper Almanar.

• On Radio Tirana in Albania
  Bojan Adamič’s daughter, Alenka Adamič, had a live interview an hour before the start of the book presentation event, where she presented her father’s work in Albania in 1947. The conversation was led by renowned journalist Andri Xhahi, and was simultaneously translated into Albanian and English by Klara Saliu, program editor and translator at Radio Tirana. After the official presentation, the only publication of this event within Slovenia was on the website gov.si portal of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which was prepared by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Tirana with the title “Presentation of a book about Bojan Adamič and his time in Albania”.

Additional evaluation of the book by Acad. Prof. dr. Vasil Tole was the documentation and correspondence that Bojan Adamič started with his wife while he was in Albania, and he drew a very interesting picture for that time with interests that elevate Albanian culture.”

The family of Bojan Adamič would like to thank everyone in the Albanian cultural and wider environment for the interest and acceptance of the new book, which discovers and describes the life and duties of Bojan Adamič during his stay in Albania in 1947 and 1948.
